Today I was in the mood for self-made lemonade. There wasn’t enough elder blossom, so I took the lemon flavored variation. The recipe is for 2-3 persons. If you like to know more, please translate the recipe above.

♥ Happy Children’s Day ♥

Today is Children’s Day, at least in Poland and a few other countries.
In Germany this day is celebrated another day, but I don’t know when exactly.
This morning my parents suprised me with this cute gift. I will show you later what has been in there with a “My Week In Instagram” post. You you need to be a little patient.
So even if you don’t celebrate, happy children’s day to all of you!

Chocolate Cranberry Brownies

I was baking again and since I have never made brownies it was time to try it out. It is a simple recipe I found somewhere on the internet. Unfortunately I can’t tell where I found it but I bet there are tons of amazing recipes out there and I just wanted to try this one out of no particular reason.
Those are the ingredients I used (sorry but in Germany we measure/bake everything with grams).

125g margarine
50g cocoa powder
2 eggs
250g sugar
60g wheat flour
1/2 table spoon baking soda
1 pinch of salt

Don’t forget to preheat the oven as a first step. It needs to be preheated to 180°C.
Then you need to melt the margarine and stir in the cocoa powder. While this cools down a little, you have to whisk the eggs and put the sugar in slowly.
Mix the cocoa margarine thing together with whisked eggs and put the rest of the ingredients in.
To make it a little special, I put in some dried cranberries, but you can also have nuts or chocolate chips. It depends on what you like.
Now put everything in a baking tin. To be honest, I have no idea what the measures should be. I just took the one we had.

Bake the brownies for 30 minutes at upper and bottom heat. Afterwards let it cool down and cut it into brownie sized pieces.

Explaining To Do

This is my first post on my new blog called “Diaries In Bags” and I think first of all I’ve got some explaining to do.
This isn’t actually my first blog because I started blogging in 2009. But since a lot has changed in my life it was time for a blog change too.
My name’s Natascha as you’ll see from now on under every post. I’m 21, at least for now. I’m half german and half polish but I’m not sure how that could describe me any better.
Well it means that I grew up with two cultures and three languages after all. Maybe my love for traveling evolved from that. My favorite city is Paris even if I’ve never been to New York (until now) but with all respect for this pulsing and great city, Paris will always have my heart.
I have a heavy interest in fashion and baking. Yes, no kidding. I love to bake. Cupcakes, Macarons, cakes, whatever. That means this blog is going to be a mix. A jumble of everything I’ll be doing, things that’ll cross my way, thoughts I will have, menus I’ve cooked and whatever else may interest you, me or anyone else. And to explain the title, I’ve always loved writing diaries, so that explains half of it. The other half comes from my weakness for bags. So I think it’s enough for the first post but if you like to know more about me or the blog or have anything you want me to write about, feel free to comment me, email me or formspring me !
